Terms of service.

Draft for legal review. This page describes the terms for using this website and the RidePe rental pilot in Hyderabad. It is not yet reviewed by a lawyer, and the final signed rental agreement you receive at pickup takes precedence over this page.

1. What this covers

RidePe, a RideGoMobility venture, offers EV scooter rentals and a rent-to-own programme in Hyderabad. These terms apply to this website and to the rental relationship once you sign up. Rent-to-own has its own additional terms, given to you separately before you commit.

2. Who can rent

You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid two-wheeler driving licence. Before your first ride we verify your Aadhaar card, PAN card, and driving licence. Verification is usually done within business hours; we may decline or pause a rental if a document does not check out.

3. Plans, pricing, and the deposit

  • Daily — ₹280/day, 100 km included.
  • Weekly — ₹1,910/week, 700 km included.
  • Monthly — ₹7,600/month, 3,500 km included.

A ₹4,000 refundable security deposit is collected via UPI or card before your first ride. It is returned after we check the vehicle back in and find no unpaid charges or damage beyond normal wear. Distance beyond your plan's allowance is billed per km at the rate shown at sign-up; we will tell you the rate before you confirm your plan.

4. Extending, returning, and cancelling

Message us on WhatsApp or email at least a day before your plan ends if you want to extend. There is no lock-in: you can end your rental at any time by returning the vehicle to a RidePe point in good condition. We inspect the vehicle on return and refund your deposit, less any outstanding charges, once that inspection is done.

5. Using the vehicle

The vehicle is for your own use and must be ridden with a valid licence and helmet, in line with traffic law. It should not be used for racing, towing, or any illegal purpose, sublet to someone else, or taken outside the serviceable area we tell you about at pickup without checking with us first. You are responsible for charging or swapping the battery as instructed and for keeping the vehicle locked when unattended.

6. Damage, loss, and insurance

Every rental vehicle is insured for accidental damage and theft, but the deposit covers excess charges, traffic fines received during your rental, and damage from misuse that falls outside the insurance cover. We will show you an itemised bill before deducting anything from your deposit.

7. Ending the rental early on our side

We may end a rental and recover the vehicle if you give us false information at sign-up, use the vehicle unsafely or illegally, fall seriously behind on payment, or do not respond when we try to reach you about an overdue return.

8. What we are not liable for

RidePe is not liable for indirect losses such as lost income or missed appointments arising from a rental. Where we are liable, our liability for a single rental is capped at the amount you paid for that rental, except where the law does not allow such a cap.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update this page as the pilot grows. If a change materially affects an active rental, we will tell you by WhatsApp or email before it applies to you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law, and courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms, or about an active rental, can go to rentals@ridepe.app or through our contact form. See our privacy notice for how we handle your data.
